First published in 2001, the late Jack Hunter’s book on the Ken Valley explores the Kirkcudbrightshire settlements around and south of Loch Ken. It serves as a companion to the author’s The Upper Glen Kens, which covers the area north of here near the Galloway Hydro Scheme reservoirs. The Ken Valley has been out of print for over 10 years and now features a new cover image. The interior pages have been redesigned, but Jack’s original text, comprising lengthy and informative captions, has been preserved.
