Originally published in 1998, this is a reprint of a title that has been unavailable for many years. This four-mile branch opened in 1841 and linked Cirencester with the Swindon to Cheltenham line at Kemple. It closed to passengers in 1964, all services ending in 1965 as a Beeching cut. The book starts with the line’s origins and then deals with the ensuing history. Other chapters include a description of the line and signalling. Appendices include arrangements for working the branch after it had been closed to passengers.
