The complete list of properties selected for the book is shown below. It includes well-known landmarks like the forlorn remnants of Eglinton Castle in Irvine and lesser-known properties like Ardeer House, Stevenston, which acted as the dynamite factory’s recreation club until demolished in 1966. The properties selected are a mix of losses and survivors, the latter often repurposed for the modern world although some remain residential. In the book, the buildings are presented alphabetically.
