The medieval town of Inverkeithing has much to offer its visitors. Site of what is reputed to be the best surviving example of a medieval friary building in Scotland in the Franciscan ‘Hospitium of the Grey Friars’ on the High St., it also boasts, within the parish church of St Peter, the beautiful 14th century font decorated with angels and the royal arms of the King of Scots. The font was rediscovered in beautifully preserved condition, having been buried beneath the church at the time of the Reformation.
