A poignant look at the Collieston of yesterday, when it was the largest and most prolific fishing community north of the Tay. Regretfully, this way of life peaked about 100 years ago and has been in rapidly accelerating decline ever since. This collection of photographs ranges from 1890 to the 1950s and records aspects of local life showing the fishermen, their wives and vessels and the activities, both commercial and social, associated with the community they built.
