Born in Hungary, Nicholas Homoky received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of West England in Bristol and his Master of Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art in London. He taught at Cardiff College of Art as a ceramics lecturer, then spent many years at The University of West England working alongside friends Walter Keeler, Roger Turrell and Mo Jupp. He has also taught in the USA. Nicholas Homoky is an innovative studio potter whose work is mainly centred around the vessel, seen primarily as a visual object. He has on occasion described his work as 'a form of post-modernism'.
